Have you ever experienced something suddenly being taken away from you? Or perhaps an unexpected turn of events suddenly happened in your life? I believe that at one point in our lives we have all experienced a “suddenly”. If something negative suddenly happens, eventually it is followed by something positive suddenly happening.
This year in 2018, a dear friend of mine was laid off from work. She found out in March that her position was going to be eliminated in June. Can you imagine having a job and then suddenly being told that your position will be non-existent within a matter of months? Immediately “What am I going to do?” began to fill her mind amongst other thoughts. I began to encourage her that things happen for a reason and that God has something better in-store for her. Like anyone else it is hard to believe those words, especially when you are thinking about how you’re going to pay your bills, take care of yourself, and your child. Despite her circumstances she decided to trust God, pray, and fast knowing that He was working everything out.
After applying to countless jobs, she received a call back for an interview in June. In less than 24 hours after the interview she was offered the position. Talk about SUDDENLY!! God is a God of suddenly. She was laid off and hired in the same month. Not only is her new job in the city where she wanted to work but it is also paying more than she expected too!! Only God was able to make that happen. Due to her faithfulness, at the right time God opened a door, aligned the right people, and made a way when it looked like there was no way. God had something better in-store for her that’s why he allowed the negative situation to happen.
I want to encourage you that when God allows negative circumstances to suddenly occur in your life be confident in knowing that a suddenly blessing is on the way. God already knew the situations that were going to occur in our lives that is why He suddenly takes action in blessing us when the time is right. Suddenly you will receive the job that is paying substantially more than your current, you will receive the relationship that you have been praying for, or suddenly you will be healed mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The suddenly blessing will be better than what was taken away from you. Do not give up when times are hard because your suddenly blessing is around the corner.
