Real Talk

Psalms 145:11 NKJV “They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power”.

In November 2017, I received a prophetic word from my Minister saying that he saw me writing a book about my transformation. When I accepted the word I thought I would write the book in 5 years, but little did I discern the power of God’s word that fell on my life that day. What I anticipated to take years, took 9 months to write, edit, and publish. God revealed to me that He anointed and accelerated me for such a time as this. The experiences, tests, trials, obstacles, disappointments, opportunities, breakthroughs, and blessings I had experienced for 33 years was preparation and the content I needed to share my gift with the world. As I sit in awe at the power of God, I can’t believe 365 days later my greatest creation thus far, Real Talk A Conversation From My Heart To Yours- A 30 Day Devotional, is celebrating its 1st birthday.

If you were to ask me a year ago would I have seen myself as an award-winning author, my answer would be NO! I never imagined that God would prolifically use me to produce a powerful tool to help people, impact lives one conversation at a time, and to draw people closer to Him. Real Talk gave me wisdom beyond my years. Real Talk matured me spiritually. Real Talk refined me into the true version of myself I never knew existed. Real Talk elevated and strengthened my relationship with God. Real Talk connected me with people who needed to hear God in a new way. Real Talk was the manifestation of my purpose. Real Talk was everything I needed to become a woman of God. Real Talk is the outcome of God’s glory in my life.

Writing this book came with fears, questions of “will people like it?”, and becoming uncomfortable with being vulnerable to be authentic and relatable. My prayers have always been that this book blesses your life, and to my surprise God did exceedingly and abundantly above all that I imagined. I thank you for your support, your testimonies of how my book impacted your lives, and for encouraging me over this past year. You all have in turn blessed my life in ways that you cannot imagine. God delivered Real Talk A Conversation From My Heart To Yours to me on September 6, 2018. Today I celebrate and rejoice in the manifestation of my gift, God’s glory, and His power.
