Job 15:8 NET “Do you listen in on God’s secret council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?”

Has God ever spoken to you through signs? Or people? Are you able to discern when you see or hear things more than once that might be God speaking to you? We have to stop limiting ourselves to our wisdom and learn to listen for God’s voice.

During my Heart to Heart live episode, I quoted the scripture Philippians 4:4-6 “Be anxious for nothing…”. The scripture was fitting because it aligned with the topic ‘Be Still’. The next morning my friend sent me a screenshot of a message on Instagram that said, “What if God’s answer is ‘be still’.” I replied, “COME ON GOD”. She responded, “OK?! I saw that like wait!!”. I stated, “That’s God confirming things. That’s how God speaks, and when you see and hear a message more than once that’s Him”. A few minutes later my aunt texted me a screenshot that read, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. Philippians 4:4-6”. She said “Good morning, so I got this, this morning”. I replied, “Good morning!! Wow!! Look at God”. God was truly speaking because both my friend and aunt were viewers of the episode in which God was speaking to them as well.

About 30 minutes later, I was scrolling on Instagram and came across a post that read, “Do not be anxious about anything; but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. Immediately I took a screenshot of the post and shared it with my friend and my aunt. My God was truly getting His point across on this day. He was making sure that we knew to focus on this particular scripture and to be still no matter what we may or might be getting ready to go through.

God is speaking, but are you listening? When words are repeated it’s meant for you to grasp and understand the message God is relaying to you. God uses repetition to speak to us, to confirm information, and to get our attention. We have to make it a habit where we are consistently sharpening our spiritual eyes and fine-tuning our spiritual ears to hear and see what God is communicating to us. He wants us to receive His wise counsel so that we are not be limited to our thoughts and understanding of a circumstance, situation, or trial.
