Habakkuk 2:3 NLT “For the vision is yet for an appointed time”

Sometimes we make plans that seem secure and then the unexpected happens. Often we think that when plans fall apart, it’s a no, but in reality, it’s for an appointed time.

In September of 2019, a radio show host reached out to invite me to be a guest on their show to discuss Real Talk A Conversation From My Heart To Yours. We solidified a date for early November and I was super excited to end the year with one last promotion of my award-winning devotional of the year. To my surprise, an unexpected event occurred in October and the radio show host informed me that they had to reschedule the show. At first, I was a little disappointed but quickly understood that them not having access to their current location to record was out of their control.

Just 2 months later on December 11, 2019, I received a text from the host. The text read, “Hey Hey Hey! I hope you are doing well. I have some news regarding the show… Can we chat tomorrow?” I replied, “Heyyy yes all is well on my end. How are you? Sure I can chat around 7 pm or after 9 pm”. She replied, “Ok great. January 10th is our relaunch at the new location. Let me know if that date is good for you”. I replied, “That’s perfect”. Immediately it dropped in my spirit, “I can promote my new book My Way or God’s Will? The Choice is Yours. A delay is not a denial. It wasn’t meant for the interview to be in November”.

The original text exchange on September 10, 2019, was the setup for the appointed time. Who knew that just 5 days later on September 15th, I would begin writing my new book. January 10, 2020, was the appointed time to kick off my promo tour for my new book along with Real Talk. God knew that this would be the designated date to share exclusive information on my first radio show interview in the new year. What looks like a denial is only a delay for an appointed time. The initial planning is the setup for the appointed time for when God orchestrates it to happen. Do not let circumstances out of your control make you think that it will not happen. It’s all about timing, the right time, and for the appointed time.
